Toddlers are in the most fertile time of their lives for absorbing the sounds and meanings of words. It is also the time for developing their motor skills and laying the foundation for their social and emotional well being. Our toddlers are surrounded by teachers that talk with them, read with them and sing with them. We help them move from solitary play to cooperative play and give them opportunities to learn how to control their impulses and communicate their desires effectively. Gross motor skills are developed with many physical activities such as running, throwing, climbing and reaching. Our toddlers’ days are filled with messy paints, play-doh, cutting with blunt scissors, and other hands-on activities that further develop their fine motor skills. Toddlers are busy building the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
