Confirmation
Confirmation
deepens the process
of initiation into the faith which began at Baptism. It brings additional
strength for the journey and strengthens the connection with the
faith community. The candidate is anointed with oil as a sign of
strength as a Christian.
Confirmation
preparation for youth normally takes place during the 9th
and 10th grades. First-year candidates must be students of a Catholic
high school or attend a Pre-Confirmation course offered by the parish.
All second-year candidates must satisfactorily complete a nine-month
period of preparation offered by the parish.
