Youth Mass
A youth Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Contemporary music is a part of the youth liturgy. The teens who are confirmed Catholics or actively enrolled in youth formation may take a role of service during the Mass. They are invited to lector, usher, offer the gifts, and, if the teen is 18 years of age and a confirmed Catholic, may serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Middle School (6th-8th Grade)
Middle School Religious Education is offered to create a foundation for teens as they move toward receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation and becoming independent participants of the faith. This semester we are breaking open the Sacraments to help youth understand each one of sacraments. We are going deeper behind the meanings, symbols and how grace is imparted through the Sacraments. Students learn actively through small group discussions, and an energetic environment. Classes meet weekly on Sundays from 3:4:45 followed by the Youth Mass at 5pm. RocKsoliD TEENS, as mentioned above, is a key component of the teen’s formation. The youth gather once a month for RocKsoliD TEENS during their class time.
A parent meeting is scheduled on Sep 11, 4-4:45pm – School Library
Classes begin Sep 18, 3pm – West Hall

High School (9th-11th Grade)
Confirmation Formation deepens the process of initiation into the faith which began at Baptism. It brings additional strength for the journey and strengthens the connection with the faith community. The candidate is anointed with oil as a sign of strength as a Christian.

Confirmation preparation for youth normally takes place during the 9th and 10th grades. First-year candidates must be students of a Catholic high school or attend a Pre-Confirmation course offered by the parish. All second-year candidates must satisfactorily complete a nine-month period of preparation offered by the parish or Catholic high school. Students participate in dynamic small group discussions and a lively atmosphere.
