Making room for all at the table of the Lord through loving service
The Food Pantry serves residents in zip codes 77008 and 77018. A group of dedicated volunteers operates our Food Pantry as part of the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul social ministry. Volunteers pick up food from the Houston Food Bank, keep the pantry shelves stocked and work with clients. Others deliver groceries to senior citizens who are unable to come to the pantry.
Donations of non-perishable food and toiletry items can be dropped off at the pantry itself or through the parish office. Monetary support is also much appreciated and can be made through the parish office or you can find purple St. Vincent de Paul envelopes in the church pews and drop your donation in our collection baskets.
Visit the pantry yourself to witness the Lord’s work. The Food Pantry is located directly west of the church on Brinkman Street. Parking is available in front of the Food Pantry or along the side streets.

ANNUAL “THANKS” GIVING FOOD COLLECTION
Each November, our parish has its annual “Thanks” Giving Food Collection to help support the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Food Pantry. Previous
years' donations of food weighed out around 3,250 pounds. We are so very grateful for your generosity. This year's collection will take place
during the weekend of November 23/24. We ask all members of our community to help us to help the poor by joining in for this largest food collection
effort at St. Rose of Lima.
