Making room for all at the table of the Lord through loving service
Our parish provides numerous organizations to foster your faith, strengthen your body, engage your mind and feed your social interests. From young adults to seniors, there is at least one group ideal for you. Peruse the adult organization descriptions below and get involved.
The Altar Guild takes care of the altar, promotes the spiritual growth of its members and assists the pastor as directed. We clean the altar every week and sponsor different fundraisers throughout the year to pay for altar cloths, candles, the bread and wine consecrated at the Eucharist and other needs. Any woman, who is a member of the parish, is invited to join the Altar Guild. We meet on the first Monday of each month except during the summer. For details, contact Jessica Lucas, Altar Guild president.

The aim of this ministry is to offer safe and affordable travel experiences to St. Rose parishioners of all ages and their friends. Formed in 1988 by Thelma Pinder and Jo Ann Thompson with the assistance of Fr. Eric Pitre, and originally named The St. Rose Travel Group, The Rambling Roses coordinate interesting and reasonably priced day trips and overnight outings by bus, plane and cruise ship. For more details, contact Jeanette Ayers at 713-682-7918.
This social group gathers to share fellowship and play cards, dominos and games. They also take interesting day trips in and around Houston. All parishioners aged 55 and over are welcome. The club meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month, sharing covered dish lunches or ordering hamburgers. Although basically a social organization, they are always willing to contribute to parish activities. To get involved, please contact Melanie Geis.
In concert with the Archdiocesan Vocation Office and our pastor, this committee calls us to remember our vocation as members of the Body of Christ and encourages all Catholics to pray for the gift of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The committee’s goal is to affirm and foster vocations to the priesthood, sisterhood, permanent diaconate, brotherhood and lay ministries. We believe the Spirit is calling forth men and women from our faith community to these roles of service. We pray that young people be attentive to the movement of the Spirit within them, that their parents encourage them, and that we all invite them to step forward in faith and with generous hearts to wherever the Spirit leads them. For more information, please contact Virginia Madden.
