Fostering Faith and Fun all Summer Long!

Registration for Vacation Bible School (VBS) is now open! VBS is a weeklong day camp held annually that teaches kids about the importance of faith in their lives.

Throughout the week, kids learn about prayer and how to serve one another, as well as interact and play fun games. VBS is for children entering Kindergarten through the completion of 5th grade.

This year, the program will be held from July 23rd to July 27th from 9:00 am-noon. The registration fee is $25, which also includes a VBS t-shirt and snacks. Children meet in the gym, also known as the West Hall, each morning for a lively kick-off to the day. Parents should sign children in and out upon dropping them off and picking them up in the West Hall.

This year’s VBS theme is “Shipwrecked– Rescued by Jesus.” Each day at Shipwrecked VBS, kids travel through field-tested rotations that reinforce relevant Bible Points and immerse kids in new adventures. The graphic below outlines what each day encompasses during the camp. The success of our program relies on volunteers, including both youth and adults. Volunteers must at least be 12 years of age. Teens and high school students are welcome to use this opportunity to complete service hours. Adult volunteers are needed in all areas. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Joseph Reina or Ms. Dorothy Pepper, or by calling our parish office at 713-692-9132.

Parents are invited to join us on the last day for a glimpse at the week’s activities and to enjoy lunch with the children.
