Mission
The Altar Guild was established over 78 years ago, alongside the founding of St. Rose of Lima. Through its annual fundraiser, the Chocoholic Feast & Games Party, held every February, the Guild provides essential items for Mass, including communion hosts and wine, votive candles, altar cloths, priest chasubles, deacon dalmatics, altar server albs, liturgical missals, chalices, processional crosses, song books, and seasonal banners. Additionally, the Guild supports the school, capital campaigns, and many other parish needs. Above all, the Altar Guild is a community of faithful women who serve one another and our beautiful St. Rose of Lima parish with dedication and love.

Any parish woman interested in serving the church and supporting its liturgical needs is welcome to join the Altar Guild. We invite women of all ages to share their talents and faith as part of our community.

The Altar Guild meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Please note that we do not hold meetings during the summer, and some sessions may be rescheduled due to holidays.

We also contribute to the school and capital campaigns, ensuring our parish's continued growth and vitality.

Dues are nominal and are collected annually. Funds are used to support the mission of the Altar Guild. Members are encouraged to contribute as they can through time, talent or donations.

No special skills are required to join the Altar Guild, only a willingness to serve and a heart for helping. Whether you are organizing supplies, preparing the altar, or assisting with our events, you can get involved in various ways based on your interests and abilities.

Absolutely! While attending meetings is encouraged, we understand that schedules can be busy. There are many ways to support the Altar Guild outside of meetings, such as helping with special events, altar preparation, or fundraising.
