Fr. Jacob Ramirez

Born and raised in Houston, he is the youngest of three children coming from a cradle Catholic family. He was heavily involved in extracurricular activities such as sports and music from middle school here in Spring, throughout college at Texas Tech University.

He graduated from Klein High School in Spring, TX in 2006 and began his college career at Texas Tech University in the fall of 2006. In his last year of college, he received his calling and began to discern priesthood. Houston became the desired place to serve as a priest and began researching and praying for guidance. After graduating from Texas Tech in 2010, he had several different occupations and decided to teach full-time in Catholic schools for four years before making the decision to finally apply to seminary in 2015. He and two of his classmates were ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ on June 4, 2022 by his Eminence Cardinal DiNardo. He has enjoyed serving this Archdiocese as a priest first at Sacred Heart in Conroe, then at Holy Family Parish in Galveston and now at St. Rose of Lima as of July 2025. With the grace of God, his life has been steeped with an earnest desire for priestly ministry since 2009 and has been sincerely grateful to serve this local Archdiocese as a priest of Jesus Christ.
