Laura Gonzalez, Assistant Director of the Early Childhood Center

Chrissy Figueroa Witney has been an active parishioner at St. Rose of Lima for nearly fifteen years, serving for nearly fourteen years as a catechist for sacramental preparation, CCE, middle school and high school youth ministry as well as VBS. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas, Chrissy worked and continues to work in various capacities in college access, specializing in first-generation and lower income populations. Her daughters Hannah (12) and Olivia (14) attend Hogg Middle School and Heights High School, whose PTAs Chrissy proudly serves as a board member. She is a volunteer administrator for Houston's oldest, established ballet folklorico group, Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico, where her daughters have been dancing for nearly ten years. Chrissy is an active Heights High School Marching Band Booster (Go Bulldogs!), but if you don't see her in the stands cheering for the band, you can probably find her cheering on the 2k13 Thunder softball team at TSA. Chrissy and her husband, Elliott, share a zeal for social justice and helping communities and the youth within it thrive. They also share a ridiculous kind of love for their two pups, Abuela and Mulligan, who are probably at home asking for a treat and belly scratches as you read this. Chrissy is happy to have joined such an awesome administrative team at St. Rose and looks forward to helping build and cultivate a thriving, fruitful Faith Formation program!
